Overall vibe and service was excellent. No complaints. Food was great as well. In particular we loved the crispy potatoes with a brilliant aioli, the focaccia with homemade cheese and the chicken dish cooked to perfection and the decadent creme brulee crepe dessert. But the most impressive dish in my opinion has gotta be the brown rice with veggies. Sounds and looks dull but this is where Vicia showcased its specialty and brilliance - the different vegetables were all cooked beautifully and they combined to form a symphony of flavor.

The Let Us Cook For You is the best food experience I've had in St. Louis to date. Went to celebrate a birthday (2 total) and did the Let Us Cook For with the accompanying Wine Pairing. All food was fresh and phenomenal. Really cool that the sommelier comes to your table to share about why the wine was picked and chosen to be paired with the meal. Vicia has a garden and each dish incorporates something from the garden. Cute and intimate interior and the staff is insanely attentive. Several people come and help take care of you throughout the meal.

I just had the best experience!! My husband and I made a reservation at the bar for dinner tonight. It was nice being close to the sweet bartenders to chat and have answers to any of my questions. We decided upon the "let us cook for you" 3-course meal. I highly recommend. This is 100% the way to go!!!! The 3-course meal is more of a sampler of the menu. For example, the first course they served us was a small version of the crispy potato, salmon crudo, clam half shell, chicken fried oyster mushroom, and the focaccia with homemade ricotta/strawberry spread. The second course came with the grilled summer squash, peekytoe crab bucatini, and the pork chop. Followed by the third course which was the crepe crème brûlée. Highlights: Chicken fried oyster mushroom: both our favorite. It came with an amazing dipping sauce. Clam half shells: ate them like oysters. Had a great mignonette Pork chop: nice crispy crust. The strawberry mostarda was insane how good it was Least favorites (but were still great) Crab bucatini: flavor wasn't as developed as the other dishes and the crab tasted fishy. Crispy potato: had a great dipping sauce but it was like an elevated tater tot. Very good but boring compared to the other dishes The environment was great! Everyone was attentive. Never had to ask for water or another drink. The cutlery was top notch!

Vicia recently started offering al a carte options and recently opened their wine garden so I decided to come and check it out! My party and I came into the wine garden first and enjoyed the watermelon froze, a frozen cocktail. The bartender was kind and let me try the drink before buying it. The watermelon froze was subtly sweet and a perfectly refreshing treat on a hot summer day. Next we ventured into the dining room and into their covered patio for dinner. I started off with a lychee cocktail which was a perfect continuation of a refreshing drink. For food, Vicia offers a "let us cook for you" 3 course food option where the chef hand picks items off the menu, as well as an a la carte option where you can pick your own dishes. My party and I opted for the a la carte option and ordered the chicken fried oyster mushrooms, spring lettuces, grilled dorade, and frozen summer berry pie. Everything was delicious but the chicken fried oyster mushrooms were the star of the show for me! The oyster mushrooms were flavored perfectly and fried so crispy. They were paired with an amazing buttermilk sauce as well. The spring lettuces were made fresh from the Vicia garden. Finally, the grilled dorade was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired with a yummy yogurt sauce. We ended with a frozen summer berry pie and a hot tea. The whole experience was very thoughtfully crafted. The servers were attentive and frequently checking on our table, refilling our water, and clearing our plates and any scraps we had left on the table. I would recommend Vicia to any friends that come into town and look forward to coming back!
